When I see many, many on
the middle lane,
When I see many, many,
many on the slow lane,
When I see the few on the
side lane (is this an illusion?)
I see myself on this lane
– the side lane.
On the high way,
Only the fire hydrant
engine,
Only the ambulance,
Only the police,
Use this lane - this side
lane for quick access to provide protection, attention and safety.
On the high level network,
Only a few,
Use this lane – this side
lane for easy access to reach his or her destination.
Yet for the few many on
this side lane (is this an illusion?)
There aren’t quick access.
There aren’t easy access.
Few many are in this lane
– the side lane
How come?
Reader may ask.
There’s no turn back the
clock.
Some have been in the fast
lane.
Some have been in the
middle lane.
Some have chosen to be in
the side lane.
Some have been fallen into
the side lane.
Yet for the few many in
the side lane,
Many questions assail
their minds,
Strength of endurance to
walk, continue to walk while seeing many go ahead
Strength of courage to
take the step,
what is the destination
looks like?
where is the destination?
Yet, for the few many in
the side lane,
Take a step,
Take another step,
Take a step again,
Take another step,
Believing beauty, bright
and bountiful awaits.
For my fellow pilgrims on
the side lane,
My prayer for
us:
Make us glad for as many
days as our afflictions,
And as for many years as
we have seen evil.
Let Your favour be upon
us,
And establish the work of
our hands upon us,
Yes, establish the work of
our hands!
